I ran the Big Sur Marathon to try to impress my wife, not realizing that if I really wanted to impress my wife I’d need to be a pigeon at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
This was an extremely moist mountain experience but eventually the clouds parted and we had an alpine frolic for the ages. Shout out to my hot, brave, powerful wife for driving through a flash flood at high speed while I was busy crushing a bag of del taco.
18 months ago, I don’t think I knew what an ultramarathon was. Then I started a new job producing video for @roadrunnersports , met @jayden_lombardo13 on the eve of his first-ever 100-mile race attempt, and thought to myself, “This sounds so messed up. We have to film it.” I knew it was going to be a wild ride, but I couldn’t have imagined the soul-crushing lows and delirious highs that we’d encounter along the way. It’s a pretty unique opportunity to ride shotgun while someone chases their biggest dream, and it was an experience I’ll never forget—huge thanks to Jayden for having me along for the ride (and @studio37productions for the drone footy).
