Some graded screengrabs from an upcoming Wood-Mizer Film: “Angel City”
I shot this with my buddy & partner @colby.hartwig .
A quick reflection, if you’re still reading…
It’s impossible to show a recent film from LA, let alone one about a lumber company & trees in Los Angeles, without thinking about the fires. It’s the elephant in the room. One of our key locations for filming was the Eaton Canyon Trail in Altadena.
In some ways, I wouldn’t want to release this film at any other time. While the topic is much more complex than we can get into here, what’s clear to me is this:
Managing our forests, especially in an increasingly extreme climate, has never been more pertinent.
I hope this film raises awareness to that and is another gateway to productive conversations. And I am sure that @jeffreyjamesperry and the ACL team need to be and will be at the table when it comes to having those conversations. I also hope that through this film, you can hear and see why that is: Jeff and ACL’s passion for Los Angeles and the nature that surrounds it is unmatched. This film is about 14 minutes long, but I believe their story has only just begun.

My friends have been doing this misfits cover band on Halloween for years and they asked me to play guitar this year. I’m so pumped to be a part of it. If you want to hang out come through on the 30th at @midnighthour_sfv (so pumped to be playing here!) or @theslipperclutch on Halloween night. As I understand it these shows get packed and are absolutely insane. Should be a lot of fun.
Also, it shouldn’t be understated how rad these other Danzig fronted bands will be. Heavy hitters all around.
Hey friends. If you’ve ever asked about seeing my band this is a good option. Sunday night at knitting factory (used to be the federal bar) in North Hollywood. We’re coming off of a week long tour with these bands who are great and it’s been a blast. It’s the last show of this run.
This is just a public service announcement. Many of you would not be into this, and that is 100% ok, no presh.
This weekend was a blast playing shows in Orange County, Cupertino, Reno and Salt Lake City with @godcollider .
Also in here I a picturee of stupid @fred.ziomek who after I had lost $5 in slots only pulled the lever twice in Reno and won $120. His luck nearly kept up with us as we ran out of gas 2.5 miles from a gas station in Utah. This wasn’t too bad considering that the car told us we had only 30 miles range left when we realized we were 60 miles from the next gas station or turn around. We did the math and white knuckled it for 45 minutes. So yeah, 2.5 miles ain’t too bad. Especially when your new friends in @greybushmetal carry your dumb ass to the gas station and then loan you gear for 3 shows. Absolute kings. Anyways, fun weekend.
What if I told you that my band, @godcollider is playing a show again FINALLY and that it’s a good one because that’s what I’m telling you. I am very pumped and a little nervous because I sing AND play bass in this band and that’s a lot of work. Anywho you’ve been warned.

Sara and I realized we wore each others’ merch to work today. We are laughing at Sam (4) who is taking our picture. I am crouching to make it into frame based on previous attempts (also posted).
