This last year spun me aroundā¦ every which wayš« Right from the start, I knew 47 was trouble.. šæ I lost a dear friend, Pete got diagnosed, endured a long battle and just recently got cleared, then we lost another friend suddenly.. š My friends, my family and my music got me through and Iām grateful for all of them ā¤ļø 47 wasnāt all bad though. I had my first #1 song, won my first songwriter award and wrote some of the best songs of my life. Music became my therapy this year and Iāll never look backšµThe moon will be full tonight so if you hear a howl, it might very well be me šāļø Whatever the universe has in store, letās make it good!! Bring it on 48. Iām ready to ride š«

My boys made me a mama. š My sister showed me how to be the best boy mama š My mom led by example with so much love thrown to both of usā¤ļø The women in my life are real life superheroes!! Being a mama, is not for the faint at heart. We are strong, we are resilient and we rise to every occasionš Happy Mamaās day, but happy mamaās day EVERYDAY!! šWe see all that you do and our world is better for itš«
Still riding high from my sold out show this week for āStarsā! Having the band that played on this new album then lend their talents on stage is just an amazing feeling. To have my older boy, Leo, in the crowd was priceless. But to have my main man, at the show when he couldnāt be at my last one for health reasons, listening to all of the songs that I wrote as we navigated a year of upheaval and challenges. Well, to say the least, I think I cried a little bit on EVERY SONG.. Not sure Iāll ever be able to sing these songs without crying.. and Iām ok with thatā¤ļø

What a great night! š«The āStarsā were shining down on everyone who came to the show! It was such a treat to play this album all the way through.. songs that have helped me through so much. I might have cried between 2-10 times.. š but my heart is so full!! And my band of brothers (and sister) brought the fire š„ Thanks to all who came and I canāt wait for DC and Philly shows next week! Get tickets while you still can! š«

Itās this guys birthday today. Heās had quite the year.. we all haveā¤ļø. But thank god we made it through Thank god weāre doing fine. Heās a warrior.. a cancer free warrioršŖ. Thatās the best birthday gift we could ever wish for. In the spirit of our Taurus season and the start of the fire horse year, here we are in front of the oldest bull fighting arenas in Spain āļø. Pete, I know the next trip around the sun will be shiny and new and Iām here for it. Love you. Hereās to 46! ā¤ļø
