Alhamdulliah Which of Allah’s blessings can we deny? That question is not poetry. It is a mirror. Every time I read it, I pause. Not because I don’t know the answer but because I know I forget. We wake up. Heart beating. Lungs working. Mind thinking. Family breathing. Yet we complain. We pray for growth but ignore the stability we already have. We ask for expansion but overlook protection. We want more revenue, more influence, more visibility but forget the blessing of simply being sustained. Which of Allah’s blessings can we deny? The blessing of health. The blessing of guidance. The blessing of a second chance. The blessing of unseen protection. The blessing of delay that saved us from what we thought we wanted. Sometimes the greatest blessing is what didn’t happen. There are doors Allah closed that would have drained us. There are plans He slowed down because our character wasn’t ready for the weight. We call it frustration. He calls it mercy. As builders. As leaders. As dreamers. We measure life by milestones. Allah measures it by sincerity. Gratitude is not passive. It is strategic. When you truly see blessings, you operate differently. You move with humility. You plan with perspective. You lead with responsibility. Because everything you have is entrusted not owned. So today, pause. Look at your life. Not what is missing. But what is present. Air. Faith. Opportunity. Love. Resilience. Which of Allah’s blessings can we deny? None.

A few years ago, building strong, seamless trade and investment relationships between Africa and the UK felt more like a dream than a plan. But today, real partnerships are forming — businesses are expanding across borders, supply chains are becoming smarter, and innovation is connecting continents. Yesterday in London, I was honored to receive the Excellence in Sustainable Supply Chain Management award at the Africa-UK Business Conference and Awards, themed “Expanding Trade and Investment Relationships Between Africa and the UK,” organized by The Business Executive and the International Business Council. At @8bmfreight , we are proud to be driving this vision forward — delivering smarter, more sustainable logistics solutions that support cross-border trade and power the future of supply chains. The future is global. The future is sustainable. And we’re just getting started. #8BM #AfricaUKTrade #SupplyChainExcellence #SustainableLogistics

Why do I enjoy golf? Golf, to me, is more than just a sport—it’s a blend of strategy, patience, and reflection. It’s a game where you don’t just compete with others but also with yourself, striving for precision and improvement. On the course, you walk for miles, moving from one hole to another. This isn’t just physical exercise; it’s a chance to take in the calm surroundings and let your mind breathe. Golf also offers the perfect setting for deeper connections. It’s a space where you can reflect, share meaningful conversations, exchange ideas, or even seal a business deal. For me, it’s become a tradition to start every year with a round of golf. It helps me reset, plan, and approach the year with clarity. I believe the new year will be a year to remember! In Sha Allah. Let the year begin! Bismillah.

One of my favorite memories of my father is how he would walk me to St. James School, Ayetoro, a secondary school near our home, to personally tutor me. As a geographer, he shared his vast knowledge, painting vivid pictures of how the earth orbits the sun, how seasons change, and how mountains and rivers shape the landscapes around us. Through his words, the world felt alive, and geography became more than maps and numbers; it became a story of balance, beauty, and resilience. Even as a public figure and a busy man, he never neglected his role as a loving father. Today, October 30, 2024, after many months of rigorous training and classes, I am proud to share that I made it to the graduation list of the AMI Business Growth Program by Stanford University. Just yesterday, October 29, 2024, I had the honor of being inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the Africa Institute of Public Administrators (DFAI), became a Certified Management Professional (CMP), and received an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from London Bridge Business School in the UK. All of this comes at a time when I am still mourning the loss of my father, who passed away on October 13, 2024. How I wish I could tell him that his son is now a doctor. I owe so much to his wisdom, guidance, and unwavering belief in me. To my incredible team at @8bmfreight , thank you for standing by me throughout this journey. To my family, my rock and support system, thank you for being my cheerleaders every step of the way. This recognition is dedicated to my late father. Thank you for the invaluable lessons, for showing me the world through your eyes. This is for you, Dad. With gratitude, Dr. Tobi Badmus
