After years of being inspired by and drawing animals, I got the chance to create some artworks in @mandaiwildlifereserve , thanks to @robertaspizza_asia & @wasuka.art Pls scroll through for little tidbits of info or the animals that inspired the artworks! With a generous sprinkling of @robertaspizza 's New York goodness and Mandai's rich history/animals, I created this set of artworks spanning across almost every single wall space within the restaurant, each with its own big apple twist. There's always only so much I can translate through social media, so we're considering hosting an artist/creatives pizza party/gathering for us to hang out and chill over art & pizza. Drop an animal emoji comment if you'd be interested pls! 🐯🐼🦧🐻‍❄️ 📸@qir0ng

After 3 weeks of sun and rain, battling my largest vertical mural yet. I'm beyond excited to share with you guys: "Ikan Todak." a mural painted in Tanjong Pagar, in collaboration with @8mresg and @theartling . Ikan Todak. - / Swordfish in our national language of Malay. Most Singaporeans would be familiar with the story of boy hero Hang Nadim’s demise at the top of Redhill following his idea of using banana stems to combat the swordfish attacking villagers on our shores. According to Singapore Malay folklore (Sejarah Melayu), Tanjong Pagar ('Fenced Headland') was the actual location of said swordfish battle. This mural artwork pays homage to this fabled story by visualising the narrative of the iconic battle between man, swordfish and banana stems, at the exact location where it took place. - the coasts of Tanjong Pagar. What started out as "my" largest vertical wall mural yet, slowly started to feel like a group project as the days went by. From painting with super trooper friends (@sheenwei.art , @itsphorreal and @j0nb0n1_1 ), to friends and strangers sending over food/drinks, and all yall following along the journey, I didn’t feel like I was fighting this wall by myself. So, thank you, I genuinely couldn’t have done it alone. 📸: @envisuals.media @8mresg

The @nike Airmax Sneaker Creatures. Celebrating the various iconic silhouettes of the AirMax Iine, we created a pair of sneaker creatures made up of recognisable sneaker parts of the AirMax 1, 90, 95, 97, 270 and the DN. Traditional stone lions often welcome people into spaces, so to everyone reading this, welcome, to my art world that you helped create. Thank you for your support that made this possible. Pls go say hi to the pair of good boys in the #NikeOrchardRoad store L3, I’m sure they'll be delighted to see you. Come join in for other exciting activities in the store from 3.26 - 3.31 and follow @1athleteclubsg to keep up with happenings!

One day I'll almost forget I flew 4 hours to paint on a glass window with my creative brother, ride a horse on a busy road, eat balut, catch a sunset, develop an addiction to chicharon isaw, drink endless gravy and thoroughly enjoyed everything in between.

Personalised jerseys for appetizers, creative converstions for mains, and laughter for dessert. As a solo creative of lonely lunches, evenings like these mean so much more. Trying to get out of my 🫧 and be more intentional with my time, reaching out to my creative circle more where I can. Grateful to my creative friends that readily accepted the invitation, and honoured to have hosted this dinner with @wsingapore , paired with the absolutely amazing menu of @skirt.sg Would've loved to have more of you guys if I could. But who's up for another creative dinner party? 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️ 🎥: @tj.yan #WInsider

Shenzhen/深圳市 🦢 Always grateful for spontaneous opportunities to create art in a new city, remembering the familiar simple joy of drawing, amidst a new unfamiliar environment. Drawing my way around the world, one artwork at a time. 🌎🎨

Racing for a good cause. When @joshybravo_ asked me if I wanted to team relay to raise funds for @samaritansofsingapore , my only ask was to let me design a team jersey for us to race in and raise more funds. And after many weeks of training with @slgyeo2401 @esthercwy and @shermalingam , we smashed our target time and had plenty of fun along the way. It was an honour to race along side you all. Stay tuned for the jersey drop with @hazonas.co ! Shoutout to @stefanusian for the 📸!

At the COSTS window, a black-faced spoonbill lands in Shenzhen. @tobyato @costs__official The latest mural by Singaporean visual artist Tobyato has quietly appeared at the window of COSTS. With only a few thousand left in the world, the ”panda of the bird world“—the black-faced spoonbill—has been transformed by Tobyato into a symbol of Shenzhen. The visual artist, who has worked with international brands such as Nike, Samsung, Levi’s, Asics, and Hugo, excels at telling stories of home and memory in public spaces. His work often draws on traditional Eastern elements like cloud motifs and mythical creatures, blending them with a fresh, contemporary edge. This time, he brings his unique visual language to the streets of Shenzhen, offering passersby an unexpected encounter with the city‘s natural ecology. On the store’s facade, the black-faced spoonbill spreads its wings, as if about to glide across the coastline of Shenzhen Bay—or perhaps it has just flown out of Tobyato‘s brush, landing gently at the COSTS window. #costs #costsbrand #tobato #costsxtobato #singapore

Thank you HK🇭🇰, for showing me how much character a city can have. A familiar city rush, pressure and grind, but also incredibly different in many ways. To everyone I crossed paths with, thank you for taking time to show me your city, I'll definitely be back!

Went on a @tobyato tour of Singapore and ended the trip with a collab art install at @almostfamous.sg If you're in Singapore and feel like you're stuck in the never ending corporate grind, take a break, grab a beer at 📍Almost Famous, and look at these beautifully engraved portraits of your life. Thank you so much Toby for showing us where all the coolest art is, sharing historical tid bits, and teaching us how to eat soft boiled eggs. This was a truly inspiring trip full of new connections, food, and really big trees. Can't wait to visit again 🇸🇬❤️ Art by @tobyato @yooohon @thebaobaestudio Location Almost Famous Bar 30 Victoria St, #01-06, Singapore 187996
