Straight out the studio @jameskelch I grew up on Venice and the jump ramp era. James and the whole EMB crew represented a whole new era which was very exciting. How has photography reshaped the way you connect with the people you photograph?
Photography has helped me connect with people I wouldnât have ever met if I wasnât making a photograph of them. Also Iâve collaborated with people and we have made images that will outlive us so the story continues.

Rich Jacobs passed on today. I was lucky đ to be friends with him and for a few years neighbors when we moved to Brooklyn. We went on many missions to art galleries and to get delicious food. Rich curated art shows and invited everyone to be in his shows. I loved how he wrote everyoneâs name in his handwriting for the flyer.
Rich had character. My favorite story Rich told me about himself is when he was 15 and his parents went away for the summer. They left him with no money for food so he found jobs mowing lawns to support himself. Rich helped me realize I could always make anything I want to do happen.
