“The Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC), Ministry of Culture, initiated the directory 100 Best Thai Designers to promote and honor these professionals. The book systematically compiles and presents 100 leading Thai designers from various fields, selected based on their established reputations and national or international awards.”
.
Thank you for including me alongside so many talented Thai designers in this publication. I’m truly honored to be part of it. There are also many more designers I deeply respect who deserve to be recognized in future editions.

Thank you @macaudesignaward for the honour of serving as a judge this year. It was a memorable experience — learning from fellow judges, seeing great work, and meeting new friends.
Results coming soon. Congratulations to all winners, especially the student category!

***MINIMART WORKSHOP***
Explore the hidden connection between taste and visual design!
This quick activity will guide your imagination to transform flavor profiles into graphic elements (shapes, types, and
composition) to produce your own compelling drink label.
Use of the Bouba-Kiki effect as a creative prompt: Bouba represents sweet and smooth flavors with soft, rounded shapes. Kiki represents sour, bitter, and crunchy flavors with sharp, angular shapes. You’ll use this concept to visually describe the exact flavor you want to communicate.
The event will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025,
with three sessions at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM
at TCDC Bangkok, Gallery Room, 1st Floor Back lobby

🎉 It’s finally out! DESIGNerd: The App 🃏
Over a year ago, @just.kevin.finn invited me to be one of the designers featured in his app version of the iconic DESIGNerd card game — first launched back in 2011.
It’s such an honor to be included alongside some of the world’s leading design figures. I said yes immediately, but then came the real challenge — creating 50 trivia questions (plus 50 bonus ones!) about Thailand’s graphic design history and culture that would be both fun and insightful for international designers. It took me a full year to complete! 🇹🇭✍️
I’m excited to share that the DESIGNerd app is now live on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Test your design knowledge, explore stories from Thailand’s creative scene, and learn from designers around the world.

I haven’t released an art print in a while. Today, we’re launching a limited-edition screen print in collaboration with @thearchivist.co .
The artwork comes from my text box painting “San Pellegrino” (Water Bottle Series), created entirely within a single text box using the same point size and line spacing — only the tracking and leading vary. See more artworks at @tnopsays .

Finally found a moment to look back at The Borderless Design X Change workshop — where I had the chance to mentor a group of five talented designers on a two-month journey (August–September) rebranding Thai Geographical Indication (GI) products.
For the first two weeks, we focused only on research — no sketching, no logo yet. It wasn’t easy at first, but soon everyone started to understand and embrace the process. Despite the tight timeline (and the fact that they all have full-time jobs!), the team managed to deliver clear, thoughtful solutions for the client — and the results truly surprised me.
Grateful to have Irobe-san as our overseas mentor and proud of these five designers who gave their all. The best part was hearing that they not only learned something new — but also wanted to keep learning more.

Thank you @macaudesignaward for an amazing week! I had such a great time judging and catching up with old friends — and meeting new ones, too. Hope to be back again soon! Can’t get enough of those 🇲🇴 egg tarts!!!
Finally, the exhibition I’ve been planning and organizing for the past few months opened this past Saturday! A huge thank you to everyone involved on both the Macao and Thai sides for making it happen.
If you’re in the area, please come visit—the exhibition runs until the end of November. For more info, check out @minimartexhibition 🥂🍻
MINIMART: Macao Design in Bangkok
——
When a convenience store takes over an art gallery.
Imagine stepping into an exhibition space transformed into your neighborhood minimart. Rows of shelves recreate that familiar grocery aisle layout. In here, each product becomes a design dialogue between Macao and Bangkok. As you wander through the ”store,“ you’ll discover how every package‘s curves whisper urban character. You’re not just a “visitor,” but also a ”shopper.“
Co-presented by Macao Designers Association and Thai Graphic Designers Association, this exhibition features 20 seasoned designers, 10 from each city, reimagining F&B design. The gallery becomes a convenience store where works are displayed as products, from packaging visuals to brand storytelling, each piece carries distinct design philosophies and culinary cultures.
