Every night I listen to Memory sung so beautifully by our @sheistayler (who also took and edited these fun little pics). when we first started doing tech rehearsals I would get so emotional hearing her sing. its all about Grizabella’s happiness and joy in what her life used to be. It makes me think back to life before Cats. how much happiness dancing and performing brings me. how badly I wanted to make it happen for myself. And now i’m doing it. I get the honor and gift of going out every night and doing the thing I love more than anything in this world. I always used to say dance is my boyfriend but its always been true. Dance was and always will be my first love. And then came singing and acting. I love all of it. I love making people happy. And tonight on my 22nd birthday I got to do all of those things. My memory of life before Cats all makes sense now cause it all led me to here. Every rejection, sacrifice, tear, tuition, insecurity, sprained ankle, joy, dance routine, teacher, mentor, class, singing lesson. By the grace of God it has all led me here. To this place of pure purpose. Pure joy. A year ago my little 21 year old self had nooo idea a crazy cat named Rumpleteazer would come into her life and rock her world. I can’t wait for whatever’s next in this T Swift 22 year🥰
