Thanks to all your love and support, The Member-Meneh Foundation (TMF) doubled our fundraising goal last year and donated over $13K to CFNA, sending five refugees to our alma mater, Lutheran High School South, via The Member-Meneh Scholarship. CFNA is an organization located in St. Louis, MO, that has had a profound impact on my family’s life—an organization that has brought hope and healing to my family and so many others through their service to immigrants and refugees. My family and I were refugees from Nigeria, and when we arrived in the United States, we had nothing. CFNA provided us with scholarships to help us get an education. They also offered emotional support and a sense of community. Thanks to CFNA’s help, I was able to go to college and secure the job of my dreams at Google. But more importantly, CFNA helped me heal from the trauma of my refugee experience. They helped me find hope and believe in myself, enabling me to build a new life in the United States. I’ve known and loved this family since they attended King of Glory Lutheran School as young elementary and middle school students! They have since grown up to be wildly successful professional athletes, Google executives and medical researchers… but the coolest thing about them is The Member-Meneh Foundation (TMF) they have created to give back to the refugee community in St Louis!
