It’s that time of year. We have commenced work on the 2025 African Creator Economy Report, and we’d love to hear from creators across the continent.
This year’s report will asses how ready we are to attract the type of capital and investments that can change the industry forever. For that to happen, we need to know how African creators think about funding.
If you’re a creator, please fill out this 4-minute survey, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have: https://bit.ly/2025africacreatorsurvey

Of all the hats I wear now — creator, author, influencer — the only one I always dreamed of was “speaker.”
I used to stand in front of the mirror as a kid, practicing my “future speeches,” convincing imaginary audiences (and myself) that I had something worth saying.
I would imagine myself on a late-night show getting interviewed and crafting the most dynamic, show-stopping answers to the simplest questions. most questions i get asked today, i’ve been prepared to answer for 10/15 years.
I always knew I’d spend a good part of my life speaking, but nothing could’ve prepared me for just how fulfilling it would be.
There’s something magical about it: the direct impact, the warmth of connecting with real people in real time, and the honest conversations right after. Yes, I go home drained from all the peopling, but every moment is worth it. I’d do it 100 times over in a heartbeat.
Thank you @tm.con for having me and for making me look this good while I do what I love!
Networking is more about connecting with people and not only about sounding smart or what you can get or give.
Don’t just talk all through, listen to the other person, your strength may complement the other person’s weakness.
