Meet Iris, a Hong Kongese photographer and videographer who has spent years moving between film, music, fashion, and dance in Berlin.
Recently, she has been focusing on the community itself, capturing the energy of a space and the people inside it. Her work is a choreography of strong colors and rhythmic editing, where she switches between digital, handycam, and analog as if choosing the perfect spice to make a moment truly pop.
Five years in, we asked what keeps her here: “Berlin makes my voice free and true to myself. There is nothing to hide or pretend.”
That’s a feeling so many chase, but so few manage to catch. Lucky are the ones who’ve found it in Berlin.

The day we both felt overwhelmed from our body and emotions, instead of pushing ourselves to stick with the plan shooting outdoor, we chose to be chill and easy on us to just sunbath at home

Proudly to be part of this Hong Kong short film shot in Berlin, merging the story between my home town with this new home city
Moving to a new country often sounds glorious, yet not many people understand the darkness of the journey. Easily think that you escape from a place where you lose hope, to this new land where everything seems possible and hopeful. However, the reality always teaches us it’s not about where you go, but how you deal with life and make it work for you, cuz no where is perfect
