Three weeks of filming for my new film installation
Following the promise of the hills and the pull of staring into the sun for too long, we let palm fronds, gunpowder, and anamorphic distortions guide us through the shoot.

Into three reclaimed bricks from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, I had CO₂ lasers burn the impermanent into eternity.
Printed with these engraved bricks, The Dream of an Afterimage (2025) materialises the forthcoming three-scene film installation Arcadia Chimera (2026). I ask what kind of reality we want to inscribe into the world.
As part of a beautification initiative for the 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, tens of thousands of palm trees were planted, transforming the city into the mirage of a semi-tropical paradise, a constructed “natural.” Nearly a century later, as the Olympics prepare to return for a third time, these palms near the end of their urban lives.

Another look at Lake Boehmer, an oil well in Pecos County, Texas, dreaming of being an oasis. Born of a deeply human desire, it stands as a monument to a misconceived relationship.
For Lake Boehmer (37100006), I’ve recreated its chemical composition, proposing a new ‘natural’ through the lens of an aquarium.
