Tropical Island Spice Restaurant

Jamaican food might be one of the most underrated cuisines, because every time we have it, we wonder why we don’t eat it more often! If you need the same reminder, Tropical Island Spice (@tis_ct ) brings flavors of the Caribbean to Norwalk 🇯🇲 While they have a separate entrance for takeout, make sure you go to the leftmost entrance for the dine-in experience! They have a full bar (the drinks are SO good here), and they often host fun events and DJ nights, so make sure to follow their social media to stay in the loop. From traditional Jamaican cuisine, to Taco Tuesday specials and sliders that just got added to the menu, Tropical Island Spice has some great choices! Happy Hour is every Wednesday-Friday from 4-7pm. Featured Menu Items ⬇️ • TIS Pasta: penne pasta tossed in house cream sauce with onion and bell peppers (several protein choices available, we had jerk chicken) • Jerk Salmon: served with rice & peas and sweet plantains • Mild Beef Jamaican Beef Patty • Oxtail Tostones: three crispy green plantains topped with tender braised oxtail (could’ve kept eating these all night, so good!) • 3 Beef Sliders: topped with lettuce, tomato, cheddar, and onions • Blue Lagoon: Bacardi, coconut cream, pineapple juice, blue curaçao • Mango Passion Lemonade (non-alcoholic, so good that I went back for a second!) • TIS Rum Punch: white rum with tropical fruit juices
