Rain - perfect weekend to go and see The Legend of Baron To’a. Brother - 20 years since you left us. But it still feels like yesterday. The hurt is still there at times. I used to blame myself a lot when I was younger because i didn’t have any answers, but moving forward saw I couldn’t do anything but wish I could.
You were a great mate and good person and since then have lost a lot of other people in my life the same way.
Lots has changed and I don’t drink lion red or love Fords anymore but still believe family, friends and loyalty are the most important things in my life. I pour out some liquor for you and remember your life as I move forward with mine. We must also remember to check on people close to us and show more love in this changing and at times selfish world. Good to get back home for a short stint in the weekend for my Nan’s unveiling and see the Whanau for a quick grounding on the Whenua. Life gets in the way and it’s good to spend time with the people that matter.
Was lucky enough to get an early birthday present from @ashleeanafidow in the break we had between jobs staying at @sinaleireefresort on the south coast of Samoa. If you haven’t been before I recommend it for a quick relaxing getaway, especially if you want to swim with turtles and chill. Also thanks to @nelsonannandale for looking after us while we were there, definitely looking forward to going back!
