In Act III of 2025 I lived in my own womb.
I learned to listen to cravings and how to say no-- even to myself.
In Act IV of 2025, my first breaths manifested in existing as myself outside the context of anyone else.
I started dressing in the ways I wanted regardless of my audience and feeding the senses.
It was full of curly Q's and song.
In Act IV, I learned how to walk and breathe,
but it wasn't until the end of the act that
my strides became komorebi and my breaths melodic.
And even since then, I'm not her anymore.
Grateful for this life and the shifts I feel lately. Grateful for who I was the last the last 8 years to be able to move through these shifts the way I am now. She did good. 🤎

To feel awake when you didn't know you were sleeping. Excited when you didn't know you were sedated. To realize you were muted when you thought the volume was turned up.
For me, the sun rises twice now. I deserve without the requirement to earn it and I receive without shrinking.
24 hours in Paris, 1 year apart. I didn't get my kouign amann this time, but I'll be back. And maybe I'll look back and see yet another version of her. 💌🪽

There's something about entering a familiar space after your heart has reconfigured valves and the projector in your eyes has gained new slides.
Everything hits different. Better than before, or not like they used to.
While my time in Cape Town this year has been wildly different from the others, I'm grateful for the people who have held the ground beneath me firm, for the air that has passed through me with lessons of strength, and the sun that kisses my wounds closed. 🏮🌑
