A new ambient album has arrived. Studio Mizuiro has designed a new cover for Belgian musician Jeroen Lauwers, alias @red_stars_over_tokyo_ , recycling a photo of Baumkronenpfad Beelitzer Heilstätten. „The Burning Spiral“ follows a logic flow after last years album with more warm sounding tracks that balance between uneasy ambient and more weirdly balanced bleep tracks for headphone dancing. As always, it’s a sound that is once again very recognizable in it’s simplicity yet filled with endless layers of to be discovered background noises and hooks. Recorded between 2024—2025. So, what's a man to do in a global pandemic that cleared his schedule? Well, he tries to learn some new skills! The last few months I've been interning at Cochlea Mastering under the incredibly generous Gert Van Hoof. He's been kind enough to not only show me the ropes, but also to let me test those ropes. Today a song I mastered is released. I'm beyond proud that it's a song by one of my friends.
