Wow, what an insane night… UWDJ’s Heatwave, an event hosted at Rare Nightclub in Waterloo, ON, is where I had the HONOUR of having my club debut as DJ Ronnie V! 😎 This event had so many great artists with diverse, yet cohesive music taste, creating a super awesome night full of dancing and fun ~ take me back fr fr :’) ~
My set consisted of mostly Latin, Caribbean, rap and Afro music, featuring both remixes and classics, and it was literally so fun to play and see everyone dance to! A couple months ago, @tooliebeats mentions renting out @rarenightclub for a Latin/global sounds night. At the time, we had never hosted anything like this, even though I’ve always wanted to play perreo at a nightclub. The idea of not doing typical “dance” music was a bit nerve wracking. Fast forward 8 weeks and we had our vision right in front of our eyes, in the form of 250 people dancing the night away.
