I am trying not to cry as I write this — I've just been so full of emotion lately. If you've been here for a while, you may know that in a few short months I'll be an empty nester. I am so grateful, but the truth is I'm going to miss them so much — and the elephant in the room feels like a giant clock, its hands moving faster than I'm ready for.
This day has always been one of reflection for me. I think of my mom, who passed away too young and never got to know my boys; my amazing grandmother, who instilled in me a deep love of family; and of course, the endless joy and gratitude I feel for my boys. But my heart and thoughts are always with our mamas-in-waiting and the mothers of angels I've had the honor of connecting with this past year. No mother should ever know that pain.
What amazes me, over and over again, is the love we mothers have for our children. I swear I can literally feel it bursting out of my chest. This is everything Tiny Tags is for — to honor and celebrate the gift of motherhood and the love we have for our children.
