My heart is so full. Two of these ladies started playing with me in elementary school when we were 9. One of them was one of my first friends in kindergarten. Most of them I adopted in high school. A lot of us had not connected in years, while a few have recently been back in my life, and last night we all came together to celebrate what might be one last time together in this capacity.
I have always been a multidisciplinary artist, and being part of any kind of fine and performance arts group binds you together in life with the power of music, passion, and humanity. Music is a centrical force that brings people together. Last night, we played, cried, and shared so many memories of the most formative years of our lives. Thank you for everything, B#.
