April 18 was my birthday and I invited 5K of my closest friends to a gravel race. aka I made my Barry Roubaix debut and earned a 4th place podium finish to my complete and total surprise!! Training for this race was the most humbling and the most fun. Big thanks to GRBC pre-rides and Switchback group rides for keeping me in shape. Big thanks to a group of friends who encouraged each other to sign up, keep going, and have fun.
36 muddy miles for 31 years! 🥳
Here at the end of the month. Thanks to April, I am planning & paying attention to new growth. I am gently coaxing things into existence with encouragement & patience. I am open to newness. And look at these mf magnolias in bloom.
To the rock hound with the biggest heart, happy birthday 💫 Looking forward to summertime, pitching tents together, and cooking hotdogs over the smokiest fires.
Behind the scenes of Mike’s upcoming short film. Our first collaboration was a documentary for film production class in 2016 and we’ve been collaborating ever since. This time I got to take more of a backseat and watch Mike pull off some movie magic with lots of help from friends and loved ones in Baltimore. More soon.
I stopped the car and climbed a snow bank to take the first photo and it’s an insignificant area between my parent’s home and the lakeshore. But something about the snow gave it a new look and caught my eye. Stop that car. Drop that phone. Don’t leave plastic on the beach.
Winter hobbies making their seasonal appearance. Clocked in to the hat factory. Visible mending. Sweater knitting. Slow is the speed for these first days of a new year.
Pure Michigan. Some verticals from a really great weekend earlier this fall. Truthfully it was as dreamy as the photos make it seem, minus some sand traps along the way.
