I haven't introduced myself here in so long, so here I go!
I am Renata, the proud founder of tinyB Chocolate. I was born in São Paulo, Brazil–a crazy city full of wonderful food options that I adore!
I was born in Sao Paulo’s countryside, moved to the city during college and never wanted to leave… until I met the love of my life (Andrei) and moved to San Francisco with him. Long story short, here I am, with two kids (Emilia and Luke) and a startup!
Talking about LOVE, as cliches as it may sound, there is no way we can talk about chocolate without adding some love to the game! Before I realized that my purpose was to become a chocolatier I trained as a nurse specializing in fertility, and then did a photography course when I moved to the US, but soon realized that chocolate was my love, my passion, and my profession. I knew it well, as I had helped my mom with her chocolate business since I was a kid!
The entrepreneur's life is unlike anything else. It’s full of challenges, ups and downs, endless work–but it’s also addictive. The more I devote myself to tinyB, the more I know I'm on the right track: this is what I want to do with my life, and I do it with my full heart. Why don’t you share your story with us as well? Olá!!! I’m a brigadeiro! Do you know what a brigadeiro is and where I came from?
I was invented in 1945 as a fundraising treat for Brazilian Air Force Brigadier Eduardo Gomes’ presidential campaign. While he didn’t win the presidency, I became so famous that I’m now Brazil’s most iconic sweet treat.
I’m made from condensed milk, butter, and chocolate. The better the ingredients, the better I taste. You can eat me directly off the spoon, mix me with your favorite baking recipe, or roll me into delicious balls. I’m very versatile!
At tinyB you can find me rolled up with all sorts of your favorite flavors and delicately placed in brown paper cups or in a jar ready to be eaten by the spoonful.
Whatever your choice, I’m sure you’ll want more than one of me! 🇧🇷Olá! Sou o Brigadeiro tradicional, você provavelmente já me conhece há anos mas não tem a menor ideia de onde vim.
Fui criado em 1945 para promover a eleição presidencial de Eduardo Gomes, ele (obviamente) não ganhou as eleições mas eu fiquei tão famoso que até mesmo que não tem o menor talento na cozinha arrisca me cozinhar. Sou tão versátil!
Fico gostoso assim feito rapidinho, devorado de colher, mas sou melhor ainda quando produzido com calma, em fogo bem baixinho e com chocolate - e não achocolatado em pó - de qualidade.
Aqui na tinyB apareço em duas variedades: enrolado em copinhos marrons, e esparramado em potinhos vistosos. Não falei que sou versátil?!
