I still can’t believe we have moved. This house was and will be forever a great love of mine.
From the moment I saw it I loved it - even though it was deemed unmortgageable - it was in such bad condition. It had no heating, was occupied by hoarders, it had boarded up windows, rats, slugs, a fox den, I could go on. It was London, I never thought I’d buy a house so I was over the moon. We renovated in its entirety and brought her back to life, wow she was a great house with great energy and so handsome too!
I can’t even explain how I feel about leaving but I have a tonne of happy memories and thanks to instagram this whole account of images and even magazine spreads featuring.
I gave everything I had to this house but I also got a lot back, I’m forever grateful!
Oh boy does the next house have a lot to live up too.
This won’t be the last you see if this house, I’m sure I’ll be going back to old images, before and afters and some FAQs I never got round too.

Here she is!! Our new home 🏡
Very different from our London house, externally anyway. Not a style/ period of house I thought I’d live in actually but it has some features we just loved.
And did you notice there are hydrangeas 😂
Do you think they love the new climbing frame?
This garden is for the whole family.
My cut flower garden and greenhouse are right next to the kids play area, everyone is happy!
I’ll be sharing more on the garden and what I’ve done/ will be doing. Check back in soon;

And so it begins!!!!!
We installed our beautiful @rhinogreenhouses last year but by the time was ready and landscaped around it it was too late to plant up. Oh my how I will enjoy it this year!!!
Last year I was left feeling a little frustrated - like I couldn’t get stuff done, but on reflection I can see it was bloody hard work getting the garden to this stage at all. I was absolutely exhausted. Now I feel more revived and I can also feel a shift in the kids ages - so I’m excited for my garden in 2026! I’ve been pruning and clearing by the last couple of weekends. I have planting plans but I’ll be doing it in realistic manner (I’m learning my limits).
My main plan is to continue to get the structure of the garden sorted - walls, beds, painting fencing. Then plant climbers and shrubs.
Keeping thoughts of my old garden in my mind.
How it’s going over the road: Tom’s listening to 90’s dance bangers; @mollyjonesstudio ’s mural refuses to be painted over; holes are getting filled; @tinyandthehouse makes important decisions.
Meanwhile, come catch us in @curiosandgate (99 Sandgate high street) for all your coffee & @dockerbakery needs.

Can you believe these shots were taken this weekend nut 5 years ago! We used the garden so much, even in winter.
Looking back is always fun! Remembering how hard I worked on my last garden helps to drive me to work in my current garden, I want to love it as much as I loved this one. I can feel the kids moving into a different stage so perhaps 2026 will be the year I get my garden groove back! I could manage it with one kid, but two just beat me haha!
We Love colour!
This @mustardmade locker looking absolutely perfect in Eddie’s room. The hardest thing when selecting of of these for Eddies room is choosing from the mustard made rainbow - check them out, so many fab choices.

Do you love it?
The exterior of this house has a long long LONG way to go. We didn’t quite get to it this year - we had hoped to but it’s a BIG task. To scratch the itch a little we decided to paint the front door to make coming home more fun, I picked the colour on a whim but it’s a triumph. It’s fun, but the right side for me, it works beautifully with the brick as well as the colours inside the house.
The loveliest of belated birthday presents! A special portrait of little old me by the very talented @rusty.studio_
LOVE the kids reactions!
I haven’t found a home for it yet but it already feels at home!
Save this for when your hydrangeas are ready to cut. Mine are ready now - it’s August now.
Cutting and drying hydrangeas is an annual ritual for me. It’s time to replace last years haul.
If you leave the blooms on the plant until they start to feel papery and a little faded, they dry beautifully indoors - and keep their shape and colour for months.
This feels like a gentle way to carry summer into winter and for me they are key part of my Christmas decor!

AD - She’s up, and isn’t she lovely!!
My builders have finished so now it’s time to settle in.
What should I grow first?
Earlier this year I became an ambassador for @rhinogreenhouses this is a real dream come true for me. I cannot wait to share more on the greenhouse, what I’ll be growing and how I intend to use it. If you know me you know I’ll make this space work hard, it’s not just for growing.
Stay Tuned for more progress and updates.
