Yo, the energy in this room was seriously off the charts. Thought the night was going to be a chill and elegant Great Gatsby themed event. But no. Everyone, both old and slightly younger, pretended to be 18 year olds hitting the club for the first time.
Now J&XY can confidently tell people they know how to throw a kick-ass wedding party.

Trophies to these two for being such a spontaneous, intimate duo. Man, their energy was contagious.
I gave this session an experimental go; letting go of the technical, the polished, the bokehs, the expected. Relearning the language of emotions, dynamics, and added a touch of silliness, nostalgia but the same amount of heart.

Most couples ask for candid photos. But what they really mean is, "I'm awkward as a giraffe on roller skates". I get it, I really do.
This is what a documentary wedding looks like. No performance, no poses (unless you drag your friends in for a goofy photo). Just me observing, as you stay present with your people.

Don't usually do proposal shoots these days. But sometimes when I do, there's a mom, an aunt, 2 dogs, 10 friends, and 5000 rose petals in the same room. What an atmosphere.

We went bananas with a family session on this one. Some folks flew in from Down Under, Middle East, and all the way from the UK. Heard some chiming their love for our all year long summer. Honestly, we’d gladly trade our seasons with you in a heartbeat. 🥶
Late to the 10 years throwback party. But here’s what an overseas wedding looked like with a decade-younger @tonkytuu .
Had to share this set after stumbling upon it while doing some housekeeping. This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart as my first overseas wedding and solo trip. Zero plans. Just a plane ticket, a rented Nissan Almera, barely enough data and a pocket full of curiosity. Oh, and the couple’s wedding schedule of course.
A beautiful reminder of the days when yours truly was busy sucking at photos, a stagnated bank account, navigating life, and finding his voice. It’s a bittersweet memory of a season where grinding and finding solid footing was necessary in a sea of creatives. I never saw it as a dog-eat-dog world, but rather a space where we could push one another to higher levels.
Don’t know what the next 10 years ensues but I’m excited! :)
I once told myself that to grow, you need to surround yourself with the right people. And God sent me these incredible friends - simple, joyful, and so faith-filled. They bring this quiet glow to every room they enter.
My only regret? Not connecting with them sooner as it turns out they were my childhood neighbors all along! But God’s timing is perfect. Here we are, celebrating life’s milestones together. Here’s to deeper bonds and an even brighter 2026!
