Summernats special to finish up last year. A pair of 20” Walkys 2 piece converted to 20x10 with a custom offset. We also built 6 custom offset 18x8 steel wheels with tires for burnouts.
A set of interceptors modified to fit HT/HK Holden. The vehicle was fitted with late model Commodore brakes that keeped the Commodore stud pattern. We adjusted the offset and widened the rear. To maintain a classic look, we created custom hubcap clips that allow the use of the original 14” hubcaps. To the untrained eye, it appears they are still 14” wheels, even though they are actually 15”. This change also provides a much better selection of tires.

Here’s another set of BBS RS wheels for Tom’s E30. These wheels were built to larger specs that were a bit too extreme for this build. There were also some questionable methods used in their construction.
We managed to shuffle the halves around so that Tom only needed two new halves to reduce the width. We stripped the centers, color-coded them to match the car, and performed a full polish on the hoops and hexes.
Unfortunately, I got a new phone and lost some photos of the build, but here are a few pictures of them completed on the car for your viewing.
@e30_casper BBS RS wheels are in for a tidy-up.
To maintain their original look, we decided to leave the original paint on them and simply polish the lips and hexes. We also cleaned up the original hardware; however, some pieces were beyond repair, so we sourced better replacements from our stash of BBS parts.

These wheels were in pretty rough shape, but we believed we could give them new life. The centers were removed, any damaged rims were welded up and polished, while the centers were vapor blasted and painted a satin silver. The centers were then rewelded back in to create custom offsets to suit the vehicle, and we finished them off with new valves, tyres and refurbished imitation hardware.
80 Series Steel Wheels - Widened
These wheels feature what we refer to as a large face. Usually, a center is welded into the “well” of the wheel, but with these larger face wheels, the center is welded to the front edge or may even be integrated into the front of the wheel. This design makes achieving custom widths and offsets more challenging.
We machined the original centers to fit inside some 16x10 wheels, creating custom offsets for an OEM+ look on this clean 80 Series.
