I'm so sad to hear of the passing of Ted Turner. He was a titan and incredible philanthropist. I was honored to serve on the United Nations Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council, which he founded and funded. Ted was so engaged in our work and so committed to the idea of being global citizens. In this photo I'm visiting Uganda, where our GEC class visited the largest refugee camp in the world, engaged with UNICEF Innovation projects, and saw the work of World Food Program and UNHCR on the ground. Ted's most known legacy was his role as media titan, I was privileged to know him as a deeply committed humanitarian, and I'll be grateful forever for this gift he gave me. Rest in peace, Ted. Our titans sure don't look like you these days. 💕💕
This is 46! Feeling very grateful and very loved. 45 was a beast of a year. Lots of lessons and lots of loss. I wondered how it would feel this year celebrating my first birthday ever without Dad. I may not have heard his voice, but I've deeply felt his love and presence all week. Thank you all for your beautiful messages and your presence. 💕
