@twoliveslondon on tour in Brussels at the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking Stakeholder Forum 2026. Yesterday, policymakers, industry leaders and innovators gathered to talk about how #Europe can actually strengthen its industrial edge in the #bioeconomy — not just in theory, but in practice — and finally move beyond slow, fragmented progress on scaling #biobased innovations. The real question is whether this conversation will lead to action, or just more consensus without momentum. The programme confronted some long-standing bottlenecks: • Why do so many bio-based technologies stall between the lab and real industrial deployment? • What’s really holding back investment in first-of-a-kind plants — risk, regulation, or lack of political will? • And how can Europe move past pilot projects to create actual markets for these solutions, instead of relying on subsidies and short-term support? We had a fantastic day networking and gathering insights & inspiration for our ongoing R&D projects. #twolives #wastetovalue

More @twoliveslondon shenanigans - Just back from the @ukftorg Sustainability Conference 2025 – Innovation in Action (at Drapers Hall – what a fantastic building!) What struck us most wasn’t a single presentation or statistic, but the feeling that we all know what needs to change. We talk a lot about innovation, but the truth is: no company can solve this on their own. The waste, the emissions, the broken systems in fashion — they’re bigger than any one brand, supplier, or designer. What we need now is collaboration that goes beyond polite panel discussions. Collaboration that feels uncomfortable. That means opening up processes, sharing data, even admitting when something didn’t work. Because every silo we protect slows us all down. For us, this isn’t just theory. At two lives we’ve seen how upcycling deadstock fabrics and unsold garments into new collections only works when everyone — from brands, buyers, suppliers to creatives — pulls together. The benefits are real but so are the challenges. The conference was a reminder: sustainability can’t stay a side project or a glossy report. It has to be the operating system of our industry. So here’s our takeaway — let’s stop asking “who’s leading?” and start asking “who’s joining forces?”. Thank you to everyone for putting together such an inspiring event! So good to hear first hand about all the pioneering innovations as well as the challenges we’re facing. #twolives #upcycling #ukft #conference #sustainability #innovation

@twoliveslondon shenanigans - Whoop whoop! Last week we proudly took home the PSI Academy Award by @psishow and @greenproductaward for Campaign of the Year! Together with Horst Liebetrau’s agency upside, we were nominated for our collaborative work on @we_lovemagenta / @deutschetelekom . Our LOVE MAGENTA Upcycling Collection is all about scaling remanufacturing by turning deadstock fabrics, production off-cuts, and unsold garments into fresh, high-quality merchandise. While these materials were never used, they still add to the apparel industry’s growing waste footprint. By treating them as valuable resources rather than waste, we cut down on virgin raw material use and avoid the resource-heavy processes of creating new textiles. Since launching in 2020, the collection has already saved significant amounts of water and CO₂. We’re beyond proud that this work has been recognised with one of Europe’s leading sustainability awards #welovemagenta #deutschetelekom #upcycling #award

What a great day @jobeardsworth and I had at @lcflondon_ @unioftheartslondon .Over the past weeks we have been working with the MBA candidates to master their pitching techniques in preparation for a professional pitch through a series of workshops including activities like: ·     “Worst Pitch Ever” ·     Confidence Audit & Mindset Shift ·     Pitch Builder ·     Voice & Body Confidence Drills ·     Rapid Re-Pitch ·     Reflection & Confidence Reset   This week they got the chance to present their consultancy project to an industry panel and they smashed it. Everyone delivered with confidence on topics that are relevant to an ever changing and volatile industry: AI, textile waste, overproduction and overconsumption, new emerging market opportunities, women empowerment. Thank you to Lois Baile and Sarah Walls for organising the final pitch day and also to the fantastic industry panel: Liz Jewitt-Cross, Mary Anderson-Ford, Christine Kasoulis, Hannah Dilks. The feedback you provided was productive, insightful and very encouraging.
