January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and over the next few weeks I’m challenging myself and inviting you—to take one next step.
This issue isn’t only about what traffickers do.
It’s also about what the rest of us tolerate, excuse, or avoid.
Because awareness that stays abstract rarely changes us.
But awareness that becomes personal changes everything.
Room 21 pulls back the curtain on a hidden reality most people never see: human trafficking in America.

It rarely looks like the dramatic scenes we see in movies or the sensational headlines, most often, its manipulation, coercion, and control. It’s a teenager who thinks she’s in love, a co-worker you see every day, a neighbor down the street—appearing ordinary while enduring something devastating behind closed doors.
This short film is based on the testimonies of real trafficking survivors. It provides a glimpse into just a few hours of one victim’s life, showing how quickly and easily someone can be trapped, often without even realizing what’s happening. It exposes the harsh reality of just how little some people value human life.
Room 21 is not entertainment. It’s a wake-up call to confront reality, recognize the signs, and take a stand against an injustice that thrives in silence.

47 children were located last year during the first-ever Missing Child Rescue Event in New York!
We are grateful to support our partner, the National Child Protection Task Force, as they teamed up with the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse and a coalition of local, state, and federal partners, as well as private sector organizations, to launch this event in Buffalo.
The agencies and participants took a fresh look at the cases, which involved missing endangered children. The teams explored new leads, reviewed case notes, and leveraged technology to assist with the investigations.
There are at least 89,000 unknown children waiting. Let’s get the Renewed Hope Act passed through Homeland funding and provide critical staffing and resources to HSI Cyber Crimes Center to fight online child sexual abuse material and safeguard boys and girls that are still suffering! @leaderjohnthune@senatorhawley
Every day we wait, they suffer. Right now, there are kids praying for a rescue—for someone to step up, step in, and do something.
Are we actually going to protect these kids from further exploitation, or are we just going to keep talking about it?

During a recent trip to Colombia, we had the honor of visiting the AGCI & TTF House of Hope, a family-style home created alongside Ministry Partner @allgodschildreninternational (AGCI). It’s a place where young women aging out of the child welfare system receive the support, care, and love they need to step into a new season of life.
Cristina is one of the incredible staff members who is helping make that possible. Her words reflect the heart of this home: prayer strengthens, faith sustains, and healing happens in community.
