This scene takes place on a train, with moments split between moving shots and a stop along the way. Production got us an incredible train built by Abraham Lincoln’s son, which is privately owned. It was extremely tight corners on the inside but completely woth it.
One interesting tidbit was because it was made in a time right at the birth of electricity it had both electric and gas powered lighting because they were not confident enough in electricity yet to rely on it completely. They let us ride for a few hours, giving us the chance to capture a beautiful montage as it traveled. We filmed the exteriors at a train depot that is currently a museum.
