SHAPE & SHIFT >>>
A Sculpture to Shape Space and Culture
I’m really pleased to finally share this.
On Saturday 2nd May, I’ll be launching Shape & Shift at Salisbury Guildhall — a new participatory sculpture that invites people to actively shape both the work itself and something wider around it.
This project has grown out of my work and our collective collaboration on This Too Will Pass. I have reworked these materials into a series of connected pods exploring Art, Architecture, and Community.
At its core, this is about collective purpose. What happens when people come together to test ideas, to make, to question, and to take ownership of the spaces around them? How identity — of a place, of a community — can be shaped rather than assumed.
Five years on from that moment of pause we all experienced, and with ever impending doom, this feels like another point to reset and move forward with intent. A chance not just to reflect on change and possibility, but actively shaping it.
This is just the beginning. we building a CIC that will carry this thinking further — creating a platform for ongoing collaboration, experimentation, and community-led change.
If you’re interested in being part of that conversation, come down or get in touch.
Saturday 2nd May

Shape & Shift >>> @timscrace
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by @salisburyguildhall for Shape & Shift on Saturday. It was buzzing!
Shape & Shift as a concept hands back control of physical space to the people. By moving sculptural pods throughout the day we were able to make our own space and imagine new possibilities.
Our team and our lovely collaborators asked passers-by to share ideas and think outside the box.
Something about chalk sparks the inner child and breakdowns barriers to memory and action. Conversations sparked sketches and we all took time to listen. Leading us to ask -
What do you love about the city?
What would you change?
How can we support artists?
How do you #seespacedifferently?
Kids’ naturally led the way. With their boundless enthusiasm for creativity a lego shop, some mountains and lots of dinosaurs and flowers followed.
Thank you for all your energy, ideas and generosity and for turning Shape & Shift into a living breathing experiment.
It’s time to rewrite the script — we’ll be reactivating a space near you soon, so keep sharing your ideas and get involved. Who knows where we’ll pop up next?
Thanks to @salisburycc for their support. Thanks to the team @scrace_architects , And all you other helpful sorts. Thank YOU!
Time to @seespacedifferently . Time to activate our city.
Remember to follow for details on next events (10th @salisburyguildhall & 27th @salisburyartscentre ) and our launch on 17th July.

SHARE HER LOVE, SET HER FREE
Today we lay my mum, Gill, to rest. Her kindness, warmth and playful spirit live on in the good and gentle things in the world.
Take a moment this morning to share her love: call someone, say a prayer, or give someone a hug. Go for a walk? But remember to Smile at everyone you pass.
Below is a poem I’ll be reading. It is inspired by the love mum dad shared. It’s called -
“I love you now and always will.”
On Cornish sands
she rests her feet,
walking along her spindrift beach—
the tide takes her
from land to sea.
Share her love,
set her free.
She is gone. She is gone.
Share her love with everyone.
I will love you now and always will.
The rains have passed, but
she is gone.
My heart was broken, for
she is gone.
The pain has softened, yet
she is gone.
My soul has lifted, but
she is gone.
Make her proud, since
she is gone.
She is gone. She is gone.
Share her love with everyone.
We will love you now and always will.
We will weep, for
she is gone.
We must be strong, for
she is gone.
Hold family near, for
she is gone.
Make time for them, for
she is gone.
Give more hugs, for
she is gone.
She is gone. She is gone.
Share her love with everyone.
She will love you now and always will
She was the one, but now is gone.
She is gone, but
her love remains—
Hold me close,
kind and caring,
Ours,
now and always.
She is gone. She is gone.
Share her love with everyone.
Be kind and gentle to one another today x
Take time for the ones you love…
This time last week I was catching the early train to see my mum who was in the latter stages of a two year battle with cancer. I remember listening to this as the sun rose and the clouds and my heart lifted for a second. Even capturing the ruins at sherborne castle at the end.
Make sure to open your eyes to the beauty around you today. Life is short! She waited for me to arrive but sadly left us to be at peace. Share her love by being caring and kind today.
Dawn is coming
Open your eyes
Look into the sun as the new days rise
And I will wait for you tonight
You’re here forever and you’re by my side I’ve been waiting all my life
To feel your heart as it’s keeping time
We’ll do whatever just to stay alive…
Love you always mum xxx

IGNITE + CREATE: Action Ignited
Last Friday, 50 change-makers came together to spark creativity, collaboration, and bold ideas. From poetry by Kat Jones and Jamie Lingham, to murals, skateparks, and street rap, the energy was electric.
The event closed with a call to action from Tim Scrace: “By taking risks, sharing and then acting, it’s clear that we can work together to make something truly transformative.”
