Here’s how I kill time during a flight, #ipadart #procreateart #applepencil This is a scene etched in my brain, as it’s the backyard I grew up in. Once in awhile the fog blankets the landscape, which to me, is absolutely breathtaking. These are sketches, really, for future paintings, as I continue to learn how to get my memories and vision and skills turned into something beautiful. Enjoying the journey along the way.

Today marked my 1 year disc-aversary playing disc golf (aka frisbee golf). Thanks @litaviccharles for getting me into this sport and all your early instruction, mainly “throw it straight”, thx man, huge help🤣. I’ve played in a number of states, dozens of courses, with many solid folks. Very few, if any can boast they’ve played with Antelope & Oryx before though. I can now scratch that off the bucket list, lol. Thx @ronnylynchkillsme 📸 and friendship. Looking forward to designing a course out there with you 😬. Throw discs, not fists 🕺🏼…………………..🥏💥⛓️‍💥

Beyond The Blue, Hampton Beach, NH. 16”x35, Paint on Board. There’s much I could share about this creation. It’s more than a painting, to me, it’s the cumulative outpouring of journeying through this world we call life, for 49 years and the jaw-dropping experiences I’ve been blessed to have and the incredible characters that have come in (and out) of my life along the way. From my Mom & Dad, who sacrificed so much to allow us to summer in NH, to my neighbor/best friend up there, Patrick, my brother, by my side through all our wild oating. Challenging the ocean with my sister Jackie during hurricane season, for endless hours. My dear friend Rick, who traded garbage pail kids with me, got me into skateboarding, only to be taken at 23 (when I was 17) by LIGHTNING surfing up in these waters - altering the course of my life. Building sand castles with my babies and wife that was, all our trips back North from Texas, during years when I didn’t know how I’d make it financially, but made sure they could come enjoy this special place with their Nana & Gramps. To the walks, with my dear friend Shayna, my sweet dear soul friend, paddle boarding every sunrise, watching 10000’s of fish slapping all over the water sparkling in the sun - a once in a lifetime sight, with Roscoe dog on my board loving every minute of it. I don’t have space to share about Miz, and Jay, Joey & Kevin, Aaron L, Robbie John, D-reck & John, Mike & Mark, Teddy, Danny, Pat Mackey & Timmy Battle, Matt Pailes and Dave Gab, Jason D, Ben - all pushing my skateboarding/life to new levels, Steve Ohara, Jeff Grey; Mark McDonald, Kevin Schmitt, Timmy S. (Miss you guys). All of you impacted who I am today. This was more than a painting. It took me a little over an hour for this to come out of me. One take. It just came out. It was the outpouring of gratitude, love, appreciation and respect for the place that helped shape me into who I am today and for my perfect Father, God, the ultimate creator who inspires me to keep going! (Thank you Ryan Crowe for the paint board! And Jeff Hyde for the frame) now hanging at 9Elm.

Mini Travel Sketchbook flip through, 2022/23. Graphite + watercolor. I’ve had the same mini watercolor kit since 1995, my first year in my chosen art major at MassARt, illustration. It’s been all over the world with me. These little sketchbooks are the best, they travel with me everywhere I go. Most of these were just pencil sketches on the Salmon River Idaho. That was the wildest adventure this beach kid has ever been on (twice). 50 miles down class 3/4.5 rapids with hardly any other souls in sight, just some close friends and river guides. When I sketch these into these books, the images pretty much stay in my head and will come out later when doodling or doing larger scale oil paintings. When I went to art school I had one goal in mind, to learn how to draw from life. Welp I’m still on that journey but truly feel I’m now able to make images I’m proud of, even if just a quick 5-10 min sketch (like some of the graphite pieces are in this book). Thank you for viewing my work. All this work is preparation for a graphic novel that will highlight some of the wild adventures and amazing people I’ve met throughout my life. Cheers #landscapepainting #sketchbook #travelsketch #thejourney #memories

New England Fiery Sun Set, oil on cradled wood, 2020. This was one of my early oil paintings. I have painted but my studio in art school (the old Boston State School) didn’t have ventilation to handle oil thinners, so I learned Acrylics with my professor, the late Ron Hayes; who helped with the formulation of Acrylics into tubes. He taught us how to paint like oils, so the foundation was there - just never took the leap. Finally during the plandemic I made the jump. These paintings had a lot of passion and energy in them as I was navigating heavy psychological waters at this time. It was a beautiful & tragic time, as is most of our lives. This is a scene near the old Hunt hospital in Danvers, MA, where I grew up. The sun is heading west causing a dark, almost black, silhouette scene of trees and homes. I cherish these times. Perhaps I’ll write about them more in my graphic novel, when I take that leap! This piece is for sale. I’ll try to get it on my website: www.artfulintelligence.art soon. If interested, dm me $369 for this piece. There’s 2 others like it that make a panorama. But selling individual as well. (Full set is $963). Is it tacky to post prices on insta? Ask me if I care in the comments. 🤩 #tonalism #postimpressionism #sunset #faithhopelove #newengland
