Tim Plester is a British actor, screenwriter and director, best known to audiences for his roles in «Game of Thrones», «Shadow and Bone», «Andor» and Ricky Gervais’ series «After Life». His documentary «Way of the Morris» received wide acclaim and his new film «The Archivist» will be premiering at Sheffield DocFest in the UK on June 13th (2026).
In our new interview Tim talks about why he decided to become an actor, the filming of the legendary Red Wedding in Game of Thrones, his love for comics, his own projects, memories from the set of Shadow and Bone and much more.

All dragon-lines lead to North Oxfordshire this coming Saturday (25th), for the annual Adderbury Day of Dance. The Adderbury dances were collected by Janet Heatley Blunt and Cecil James Sharp. The Adderbury tradition was revived in 1975 by a team led by Bryan Sheppard and Tim Radford. A special memorial service for Tim Radford will be held in the village at 2pm on Friday 24th (St. Mary’s church).

These two photos of myself and director @yesdrs were taken a whole 2️⃣0️⃣ earth years apart. The first image was captured at Newport Pagnell Services on the M1, during the filming of the cult comedy sci-fi short BLAKE’S JUNCTION 7, whilst the second one was meticulously recreated in Malta, during the final throes of filming on THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE (September 2023). Both night-shoots, for the record. 🌘

My character in THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE, Dodgy Trader #29, didn’t make the final cut of the movie unfortunately, although you can just about make out my fake dreadlocks in the deep background of a couple of shots - if you know exactly where to look. 👀 Produced by @nealstreetproductions and @elysianfilmgroup and written for the screen by that man @simon_farnaby , THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE is out in UK cinemas right about now!
