Acamaya! Wow! I love the diversity of food in NOLA, and that some of the best restaurants are Israeli, Indian, African, Mexican, etc - yes, there’s an abundance of French, Cajun, Creole, but there’s so.much.more. And they will all knock your socks off!
We pretty much ordered the menu (not all pictured) - the tuna made our eyes roll back in our head. The hamachi, omg. The oysters had an interesting mignonette (salsa!), the shrimp costra, arroz negro, and on and on. AMAZING.
Acamaya just received Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition and it is so deserved. Try to get in. Go with friends. Try everything. Unbelievable.

I had a great 9mile walk through Brooklyn and Manhattan. I feel like I saw many lifetimes and ways of life in one walk. Thankful for the cooperation it takes to build communities and have nice things we can all enjoy.

Last night I went to get some late night eats and while enjoying my tasty burger Jackie Wilson’s “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher” came on. I remark how it will always remind of Ghostbusters 2 and the bartender tells me to look behind me on the wall. There he was looking over my shoulder, Vigo the Carpathian. That’s my story lol.

It’s always great reconnecting with friends and family on the road. One of the perks of traveling and touring. Lotus and Moe joined forces last night over wine and pasta. My Italian heart is full.
