A real-world camera test (Fuji GFX - shoutout to @peter_rosa ) became a challenge when my one wide-angle lens fell to the ground rendering it unusable. With my widest focal length at 70mm, I started honing in on details and compositions with layers of space and I realized how fascinated I am with the signage throughout Italy. Both familiar and foreign, the graphic design of these stood out against the ancient landscape that surrounds them. One day I will know what they mean - though if living in New York for a decade and a half has taught me anything, sometimes the only way that you learn the meaning of a sign is by getting a ticket for doing whatever it was telling you NOT to do.
And of course a big thank you to @brittarena for piloting our car while I snapped away from the passenger seat and on foot for waiting ahead of me on each block that I lagged behind because I found something shiny 😘
