👀 BEHIND THE SONG: this song was partially inspired by seeing this exact signage in front of a loud clothing store, while walking down the street in my new neighborhood. Luckily I found this photo online and doctored it up to have ‘alone again, ltd’ on the tag.
The songs theme plays around with the confusing feeling of delusion and the actions we take as humans on a surface level, despite the hidden motives and intent.
Whether that’s considering getting back with an ex, or dating/communicating with people in the current digital era (decodehim much?), or the psychotic phenomenon that is “selling success” in digital marketing (where you flaunt achievements or release a course on how to achieve success in something while gatekeeping the very process, yuck).
It all feels so alienating.
These days, the entirely fragmented human experience in the US leaves one feeling “alone again” more often than not, as we attempt to make up for that lack of connection in various ways. It all seems to culminate in a tragic, yet relatable feeling I tried to communicate here with this song.
