I am delighted to share my new single Mars with you. My release Relations, which came out two years ago, already referred to my difficulty in forming relationships. Two years later, Mars still describes my feeling that I am often stuck in an endless cycle and that I still have a long way to go to find inner security and be able to form secure relationships. Mars is opening up, is very close to me and yet so far away. In Mars, I am one step ahead, I see something, I understand something, but I need time to change it and trust in action. @timmroller has mastered a version of Mars that doesn’t sound like isolation, but opens up and invites you to be there and travel a bit together. This autumn we recorded an album of John Duarte’s original works for guitar trio in the Schlosskapelle at Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany.
It was an honour to immerse ourselves in this repertoire, paying tribute to Duarte’s remarkable musical legacy. Collaborating with his son, Chris Duarte, was a real pleasure…he shared invaluable insight into his father’s work.
