Great #exhibition of #monotypes/monoprints (one-offs!) by my friend and life-drawing colleague @drawing.rae at #155a Gallery in #eastdulwich - I was lucky enough to snag a glass of champagne at the Private View - but do try to get down there. It’s on for ten more days. Rae is very talented and her work is unusual and amazing. If you like #Munch you’ll love this!
Amazing concert last night in Paddington St James’s Church, by @sound_over_silence . A group of incredible musicians - classical in the broadest sense, a concert raising money for Palestinian charities. A Deeply moving experience all round, being here, thinking of the tragedy unfolding in Gaza

Unexpected delight in #hastings #coffeeshop yesterday late afternoon at #hanushka - superb personal-political songs from #one-woman-band @charlieaustenmusic - both musically and lyrically very powerful and often witty as well - I am definitely going to check out more of her work and her #gigs - you should too!
Me with Michelle on the set of Ice Princess in Toronto a little over twenty years ago. Such sad news today. I am shocked and saddened. A lovely sweet-natured kind-hearted talented woman. She will be much missed. Rest in peace, Michelle.
Saturday #workshop “Writing Fiction: The Director’s Cut”, which I ran alongside #novelist @judith_heneghan was a great experience - 16 enthusiastic and talented participants, a brilliant co-host, and a great venue @arcwinch in Winchester. In a fortnight I am also running a #DirectingActors #workshop at @thelondonfilmschool on March 1st and 2nd. Do sign up and come along!
It’s a month of running #writingworkshops for me. Coming up on February 15th at @arwinch is Writing Fiction - The Director’s Cut which I’m running with brilliant novelist @judith_heneghan . This weekend I’ve just run #The Writer/Director Collaboration at @thelondonfilmschool with a great bunch of students from Finland Peru Sweden and the UK. So many exciting stories and future film projects emerged over one weekend. #teaching can and does inspire this #teacher too!
