Inside the Precipice rehearsal room… 🏙️ Rehearsals are well under way here in NW1 as @timelapsethtr swiftly approach the premiere of their brand new musical. Opening November 11th, first there was Operation Mincemeat, then there was After The Act, and now - well, you’ll have to find out yourselves. Precipice - meet the creators! Adam Lenson (@adamlenson ) Adam is a director, writer, and creative technologist. He is especially interested in developing work that challenges preconceptions of what musicals should look like, sound like, and be about. Work as a director includes: Cable Street, Superhero, Wasted, The Rink, The Fabulist Fox Sister (Southwark Playhouse), Public Domain (Vaudeville Theatre, Southwark Playhouse), Songs For A New World, Whisper House, 35mm (The Other Palace), See What I Wanna See (Jermyn Street Theatre), Stages, Lock & Key, Ride (Vault Festival), Little Fish, Saturn Returns (Finborough Theatre), Ordinary Days (Trafalgar Studios). His work as a writer-performer includes Anything That We Wanted To Be (Camden People’s Theatre, Summerhall), and Is It Too Late Now To Say Sorry? (Arts Depot, Camden People’s Theatre). He is the artistic director of Timelapse.

Precipice - meet the creators! Shaye Poulton Richards (@shayespr ) Shaye Poulton Richards is a theatre composer-lyricist and video game designer. As creative director of Stage Interactive, she creates interactive theatre, and her one-act chamber musical Lies All The Way Down premiered for a 12-night run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2023.

Precipice - meet the creators! Annabelle Lee Revak (@annabelleleerevak ) Annabelle is a composer, lyricist, bookwriter, orchestrator, and music assistant. Writing projects include: Windsong (book/music/lyrics, C&D Productions), Train on Fire (MTFest UK), and Notes & Letters (Underscore Theatre Chicago). Other theatre credits include: Stranger Things: The First Shadow (Phoenix Theatre), The Devil Wears Prada (Dominion Theatre), School for Scandal (RSC), and Sylvia (The Old Vic). Annabelle is originally from Wisconsin.

Precipice - meet the creators! Darren Clark (@darrenclarkmusic ) Darren Clark is an Olivier Award winning composer & lyricist working exclusively for the musical theatre. Amongst his many shows are the Olivier Award Winning, four time Olivier Nominated, Off West End award winning The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at The Ambassadors Theatre in London’s West End (“THE BEST BRITISH MUSICAL IN DECADES” - Whatsonstage) and the multi award-winning The Wicker Husband (The Watermill Theatre) which won the inaugural MTI Stiles & Drewe Mentorship Award and was selected for the prestigious NAMT festival in New York. Darren’s love for musicals extends to family theatre having written the music and lyrics for the smash hit productions of The Scarecrows Wedding (Leicester Square Theatre) and The Jolly Christmas Postman (Royal and Derngate) and his wide-ranging and eclectic work also encompasses political musical theatre including the critically acclaimed productions of The Day of the Living (RSC) and These Trees Are Made of Blood (Southwark Playhouse, Arcola Theatre). Darren is also a passionate advocate for new British musicals. Four of his new musicals have been featured in MMD’s BEAM Showcases and he remains an active member of MMD today. He is the founder of New UK Musicals, a website that allows new UK based writers to sell their sheet music and backing tracks to students, performers and fans. As a producer Darren has created the hit community musical theatre project ORDINARY PEOPLE which creates a brand new musical based on the true life stories of local communities. allowing locals to experience a different kind of musical and introducing them to a new generation of writers. Darren’s work has been generously supported by the PRS Open Composer Award, The Peggy Ramsay Foundation Award, The Help Musicians UK Award, the Musical Theatre Executive Trust Award and Arts Council England.
