Thank you @ctchildrensfoundation and @hwphockey for the best seats in the house! Jackson is an official Benchwarmer!!! #Hockeystar #teamjackson #letsgowolfpack
Going behind the scenes 🎬 of an epic photo shoot, pushing creative boundaries and collaborating with my dream team! New music and visuals coming soon, massive shout out to @timefrozen@picky_888@femyonce ! #ellecethesingingdj #newmusicalert #photographer #selflove
These memory card and SSD prices are so high I’m about to start shooting in JPEG… Might be cheaper to just pick up my film cameras…
Y’all are gonna get 20 minutes to make your photo selections then I gotta reformat the drive 😂😂😂
For reference, this was $300 in May…
Today is Rare Disease Day. A day that recognizes the people and families affected by the thousands of diseases that most people have never heard of.
These afflictions don’t get the attention or funding that a “major” disease receives so for many people their rare diagnosis is an especially difficult and lonely journey.
Our son Jackson’s diagnosis, Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) falls under this rare category, affecting less than 1 in 100,000 children. While strides have been made in the treatment of this disease for presymptomatic kids through newborn screening, there is no cure or reversal for kids already showing progression. The past few months have been especially challenging in the MLD community as we’ve recently lost some of our special superheroes.
My prayer is that someday this won’t be a holiday. We have the resources to CURE so many of these rare diseases.

He came up to me on the beach at 6am and said “take my picture”. This young man was the star of my display of images exhibited with @diaspora_ct at @harlemfinearts this past weekend. Everyone that stopped by was drawn to his warmth and his expression of true Joy - Joy. What I decided to name this piece. I would have never imagined that a passing moment on the beach in Accra would end up being such a moving piece. One day I’m going to return to Accra and find this young man.
Tonight, HFAS18 officially opens, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this moment.
Install day was a powerful reminder of what it takes to bring an exhibition of this scale to life, artists and gallery teams from across the country working with vision, and intention, and so much talent.
This is my first year exhibiting at the Harlem Fine Arts Show, and I’m honored to be showing work in the Diaspora CT booth, curated by Andre, alongside a talented group of Black artists: Keith Claytor, Ashley Innocent, Jasleni Brito, Jaii Marc Renee, and myself. Being in community, building collectively, and sharing space in a room like this feels deeply affirming.
HFAS18 is open through Sunday. I encourage fellow artists to come experience the show, take in the work, and imagine what’s possible. Planning early and moving with intention are part of how we get here.
Grateful, energized, and ready.

The countdown begins! I am beyond excited to share that I, along with 5 other talented Hartford area artists will be exhibiting next weekend at the @harlemfinearts Show
In its 18th year, the festival is an exciting showcase of artists from across the country and around the world for collectors and art lovers alike. Thousands of attendees will have the opportunity to view the work of hundreds of artists at @theglasshouse.nyc on the West Side Highway in NYC Feb 20-22.
Many thanks to Andre Rochester for opening this opportunity to @diaspora_ct . This is our first exhibit as a collective and we couldn’t be more excited to launch on a global stage! Hope to see you there!!! @rochesterfineart@jarbathart@jasleni@jaii_marc_art@ashley.thecreator@diaspora_ct
The wish that keeps on giving ✨
Thirteen-year-old Jackson lives with a rare genetic disorder. From a young age, his days have been filled with extensive treatments and therapies. Throughout it all, his love of trains has brought him joy and strength. To him, trains represent adventure, possibility, and a world far bigger than hospital rooms and doctors’ appointments.
His wish to have a train room came true back in 2023, but their wish journey didn’t end there. As a part of our alumni program, Jackson and his family were given a behind the scenes tour of Grand Central Station. He visited the custom simulator facility and felt like a real locomotive engineer, sat in a cab of a train through a VR experience, and saw a special demonstration from the MTA K-9 unit and fire crew.
To top it all off, Jackson was given special MTA swag to commemorate his trip. Including a conductor hat, a name badge, and was made an honorary member of the union. 💙
Thank you to @mtametronorth and @unitedilluminating for providing wish alumni Jackson and his family with a one-of-a-kind train day! 🚂
