I’m normally not a big aurora chaser in the Canadian Rockies. So often it ends in disappointment and being exhausted the next day. The hype and size of storm leading into Friday night certainly had me wondering what would happen. One of a handful of nights that I’ve truly been memorized by the dancing lights. Trying to capture photos and being present in the moment is also something I try to juggle. Most of the night I had my camera setup ready to go and I simply just pressed the trigger while still looking up myself so that I could also experience the evening vs looking through a camera. I found that the total solar eclipse taught me this several years ago.

Happy Mother’s Day @shirleybanfield . Quite the year 🎉 75th Birthday and 50th wedding anniversary 🎉🎉. Maybe even a shot in there of my first peak ever in Jasper 🤷🏻♂️
Ice climbing behind the scenes shooting with @bookofsamuel during the @michiganicefest . The cover shot is what the big camera captured. I really like this use for the Insta360. Capturing both at once.
