Some recent goings-on, including opening The Bodyguard tour on Guitar 1 (the first video is from the exit music of the first show), summer festivals with Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening, and some other music bits.
This year my Dad was diagnosed with cancer and it’s been hard. One way I have been dealing with it is by writing music and I wrote this piece for him. This is the solo section of a longer piece which I will put out at some point. Noah Key on the drums being a little legend and getting his parts down between a matinee and evening show on his 2nd take, recording to a really rough demo and a chart I quickly scribbled out.
Some recent photos/videos. The end of the tour with the wonderful Kinky Boots band, I can’t say I did all 199 shows, but I reckon I did 3/4! It’s been lush to spend so much of the last 7 months with you, thanks to @lljmus1c for putting us all together, and my deps @jonny_knight_music , @darrenbellguitar and @alexward89 for covering when I was away on other things. Also some clips from one of my first gigs with @kathryntickell and The Darkening, and some other stuff including my favourite photo ever.
It has been an amazing experience doing 4 projects in 5 countries in 5 weeks. Some photos from the ‘One Heart - Musical Stars in Concert’ shows in Shanghai, videos from The Collective at @pilgrimncl , the @kinkyboots_uk band and a country music tour in Germany/Luxemberg.
All the love to my wife @cescak for being endlessly patient and looking after me on the handful of days I was home, huge appreciation to everyone involved, and thanks to @jonny_knight_music for covering guitar 1 on Kinky Boots so I could head off to do all this stuff.

During a procrastination break from some tour preparations I wanted to record this. I watched a film on a flight recently which didn’t really stick with me, but this song from Sturgill Simpson really did, so I thought I’d try and adapt this solo for Lap Steel and record it.
