INSERT TIME
There's a strange magic that happens when you lose yourself in creation—time bends, stretches, dissolves. For one week, @saschbeck and I stepped out of the relentless rush of daily life and into something timeless. No distractions, no deadlines beyond our own, just the sound of ideas taking shape.
In a world that demands we move faster, produce more, and never stop scrolling, making music became our quiet rebellion. Each track on "Insert Time" carries that feeling—the breath between moments, the space where urgency fades and presence takes over.
We wanted to capture not just songs, but the sensation of time standing still. Of being so deeply immersed that hours feel like minutes, yet somehow contain everything.
This album is our invitation to step into that space with us, even if just for a moment. Sometimes the best antidote to chaos is creation.
Insert Time – out now.
First albums aren't always the best albums, but they almost always matter. For the artist and the audience.
Solmai has been releasing music for years. She and I have put out a dozen songs together already. So why is she releasing her first album now?
We're in the streaming age. Albums don't carry the weight they used to in the vinyl or CD era. Making one isn't mandatory anymore. Most listeners go straight to singles. Playlists dominate.
But Solmai chose to make Favorite Kinda Girl an album. A complete work. That choice matters. These songs belong together in a way singles don't. They tell a story. They capture a moment.
By waiting, she gave herself time to find her voice. To know what she wanted to say. When you put out a full-length work, it should carry weight. It should mean something.
Favorite Kinda Girl isn't just a collection of tracks. It's a statement. A reminder that albums still matter.

Mother's Guitar
https://push.fm/fl/mothersgit
This is an intimate setup. I have my mother's guitar on my lap, a microphone in front of me, and my laptop nearby.
I can replay what I just recorded and layer new guitar parts over it.
It feels like painting a picture, stroke by stroke, or telling a story, word by word.
In an hour, I can create entire worlds, reflecting on an experience or a feeling.
What do you feel when you listen to it?
