#ukmas is always fun. But this has been my favourite thing I’ve done so far. I love kicking with friends and I managed to do some silly techniques with some absolute legends at this years show. I have my 500th kick #kicktionary episode coming out soon and I thought it would be a good idea to let people know. So if you enjoyed this video can you please share . Thank you

wish everyone could have been here for this photo as @packino_toy_customs did an incredible job taking this top quality professional picture. The Doughnuts go back to a tradition started when we had our first competition after the Dojang Opened. We went up in a mini bus and the club did so well that when we stopped in the service station i had impulse to buy everyone Doughnuts. Some clubs reward and punish students for how they perform on the day and i do not agree with this at all. I know all my students did 100% leading up to the event and on the day and this is what i want to reward. The medals to me look nice as garnish but the hard work and spirit is always within the student. See less

The Uppercut in this form is often misunderstood. Here is a possible explanation of why they can be very different in different styles #bunhaewednesdays

This was a superb counter from my student @garenkong . I am sharing it as he’s been really working on his flexibility and 6 months ago he would have had the confidence to throw this technique. I want all my students to have the ability and confidence to express themselves the way they want and feel free and natural

Incredibly proud of all my students yesterday but wanted to give us special showed out to @adelehx_ She always works incredibly hard in class but also help helps inspires everyone around her. She is already filled up quite a following on the tournament circuit and people stayed specially to watch her compete perform as her technique. Adele is amazing and she spas with such Grace and fluidity it needs to be seen. In her second fight, she was badly injured and we were really worried about her. Despite this she still wanted to continue but it was advised that she shouldn’t which was the right call. I dedicated my fight in the final to her to show that you should have fun and make friends and winning is never the most important thing. This photo was taken at the end of the day and despite her being in pain, she still was smiling and kicking. I have such incredible respect and admiration for her and I know that she is the future of the Club and an amazing martial art at such a young age. More great stories from other students, but I had to post this one today as I was so incredibly relieved when she was okay

Monumental day for our two little clubs. First time our Abergavenny club has competed in a major tournament and there were so many brilliant and amazing moments and stories throughout the day. Tang Soo Do is not a sport. It is an art form and a practical martial art. However, I have always supported competition for many reasons. I love seeing everyone come together for these big events. It reminds you that all across Europe there are students and instructors training hard, pushing themselves and striving for greatness. Competition is also a fantastic way to test your abilities and put yourself out there — not just on the day itself, but through all the training, discipline and dedication that leads up to it. Yesterday, we took a team of 30 students to attend the Traditional Tang Soo Do Federation 20th Anniversary European Championships in Cardiff. This is the biggest squad we’ve assembled since going independent. It was a superb event. The medals were probably the shiniest and heaviest I’ve ever seen! Most importantly, I was incredibly proud of my students. Not only for their results, but for their attitude, skill, respect and the way they conducted themselves throughout the entire day. We also continued one of our favourite traditions. Since 2018, after every major event, we take a group photograph at the very end of the day “to see who is left.” It started as a bit of fun, but over the years it has become something much more meaningful. Those photos tell the story of the people who keep showing up, supporting each other and sharing the journey together. Win or lose, that reputation and spirit matter most.

Wish I had a better angle but here is the form I’ve been working on the last 6 weeks Tang Soo Do is not a sport is an art form and a practical martial art. However I have always supported competitions for many reasons. I love everyone getting together for big events so you know that all around Europe there are students and instructors working hard and striving for greatness. Also it is a wonderful way to test your abilities and put yourself out there. Not just in the day but the training and dedication that goes with it Yesterday myself and 30 of my students attended the Traditional Tang Soo Do Federation 20 year anniversary European Championship. This is the biggest squad we’ve assembled since going independent. It was a superb event and the medals were the shiniest and heaviest I’ve ever seen. My students did so well, not only with the results but also by their reputation, skill and how they conducted myself For myself I had one goal. I wanted to perform Seishan . Hwang Kees version. Taught to me by my instructor Dan Bernardo. I have loved the journey of practicing in a different location every day . Straight from the tournament I celebrated by practicing with my old band Life!Death!Prizes! After yesterday attending an Alice in Chains gig with childhood friends It’s safe to say that martial arts really keeps you young and full of energy . There will be many more videos and pics to come but for now. Big thank you to all my students for all your hard work and support . @dan.bernardo
