Granted, the stunning views and its home in The Cottesloe Beach Hotel are drawcards, as is being the new kid in town. One of the best restaurant interiors we’ve seen can’t hurt either – cues like the karaoke room all say fun, fun, fun! We don’t dwell enough on venue managers, and here there’s one of the best in Mark Rutter, a familiar face over the past decade or so at the likes of Canteen Pizza and Il Lido. Service excels, as does food under Stephen Ryu, who brings a focused, frankly addictive lens to southeast Asian flavours. That direction is channelled through the bar with its stellar cocktail offering.
