shout out to our WB tour guide Jennifer for calling out Muppet and Pee-wee filming locations just for me 🥰 Also to the girl who lost it when she saw Freeze’s costume. I miss them both.

recent new york show roundup
Masquerade: Thee single best theatrical experience I’ve ever had. I’ve thought about it once a day since. Sobbed half of the time. 1000/10. Will do again as soon as I’m able.
Chess: Knew very little about it before going in and I’m listening to several songs on repeat. Staging is uninspired, but vocal performances, unsurprisingly, are unreal.
Just In Time: There is literally no one doing it like Groff. He IS the show. What a delight to watch someone absolutely thriving in their element. Felt so special to be in that room.
Operation Mincemeat: Wanted to see this for months and exceeded all expectations! Would love to see again. Bits on bits on bits, and I still cried?
The Great Gatsby: Everything you’d except in a musical is there. A tap number, big ballads, glitzy costumes, lovely sets. Honestly, better than I expected?
Gwenyth Goes Skiing: Oh my god, what a ridiculous concept for a show. At @sohoplayhousenyc . Has a puppet. Members of the audience are forced to be actors and read lines. Absurdist.
Romy and Michele: Was a show I also watched. Incredible performances, the show as a whole needs work.
Was invited to my first Pageant of the Masters! I was enamored by the production of the live art, the orchestra was lovely, and kindergartener Finley’s piece “Goldfish” in the Junior Art Exhibit change my brain chemistry- couldn’t believe it was available in the gift shop. Amazing night of art in so cal with @hali_bear !! 🎨

A few nights ago @casaromanticasc invited me to their cultural center and I fell in love with a building. It’s a gorgeous 1927 piece of history in San Clemente with architectural details worth pining for. The arched pocket door?!? Photos do not do this space justice. Swipe for the Disney surprise we found inside 🥰
They have a whole line up of summer programming full of art and music for all ages with free open houses the first Sunday of the month. We can’t wait to go back to watch Mamma Mia on the lawn!!
