Tessa (25) ontwikkelde Pixiboo, educatieve hardware. Een speels en inclusief toestel dat kinderen van 10 tot 15 op een laagdrempelige manier leert coderen. 💻
Vanuit haar ervaring als lesgever bij CodeFever en haar job als data scientist werkt ze aan één duidelijke missie: meer meisjes warm maken voor IT, vanaf jonge leeftijd.
Met steun van Broeikas kreeg Pixiboo recent een stevige duw in de rug via de Stichting voor Toekomstige Generaties. Tessa werd laureaat van Prototyping the Future 2025 en ontving een beurs om een marktklaar prototype te ontwikkelen en te testen in schoolomgevingen.

Another teaching season finished! 👩🏫
The past few months, I thaught various coding classes for CodeFever again! This season, I taught classes of html/css, micro:bit, Python and AI. 💥
In the AI classes that were held for the first time, we explored the exciting world of AI with a group of over 50 passionate teenagers. 👩💻 We covered various AI topics like regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, LLMs and RAG. These young minds got hands-on with tools like Azure ML studio, Microsoft Copilot and Huggingface models. 🤗
But the learning went both ways! I discovered #Blahaj and was truly inspired by the students' dedication to coding. Many of them have followed the coding classes since they were eight years old!
And of course, we had a lot of stickers and snacks 😋 Looking forward to the next classes!

Last Saturday, I volunteered to lead a programming workshop for @tajovzw , an organisation dedicated to introducing teenagers to diverse professions through interactive workshops on Saturdays.
For my workshop, I chose to introduce them to the world of programming with the help of ImagiCharms (imagi). 👩💻 The students' enthusiasm and inspiration truly warmed my heart. I look forward to more opportunities to share my passion for programming with the next generation.
