Melo. Fields. Melo, my dad’s nickname for my mom, Melody. Fields, my mom’s nickname for my dad, Garfield. Created by me, their literal creation. I needed to bloom into a new version of myself. The old me served her time, but I’ve outgrown her. This version is more joyful, more gentle (or trying to be), more me. More the version of me that makes me proud.
