A patchbay is the least exciting part of a studio… that’s a fact.
Somehow Flock Audio revamped the concept in a such a way that it shouldn’t even be called a patchbay. The Patch XT is my new assistant! It is a creative box that lets you audition different pieces of gear seamlessly and intuitively, so you can focus on making creative decisions… and this is exciting!!! Now think that beyond “patching” you can now double patch, split the signal, reverse the order of the inserts, or change a super complex insert chain with one click 🤯
Speaker choices: the main question is not how good your speaker sound, but how good it “translates” to other systems. It’s not about my own experience, but the final consumer’s experience. If you happen to love that sound that’s a plus, but that’s not my first priority, translation is. Obviously, you can’t make decisions when you can’t hear certain frequencies, but I truly believe there’s a balance ⚖️ Proacs Studio 100 with the Bryston 4B amp is my balance. #happymixing
