The Orchid Skirt, made from 100% silk organza, chiffon, and georgette, took a year to develop. The orchid design took months to draw and translate into fabric, layering silk to capture the right balance of transparency and texture. I wanted a timeless silhouette with a bit of my own background woven in, and something that feels special but still easy to throw on and wear. Available in both ivory and black, the ivory version is slightly sheer, perfect for showing off your cutest underwear. While the black feels effortlessly chic and a little bit sexy. Made in NYC. Available now and ready to ship at Thuylam.co Thank you for all the love and support so far! -M🩶

After numerous rounds of appliqué tests and hand drawn orchid sketches, Thuylâm finally perfected the orchid appliqué skirt. Made from 100% silk, we experimented with mixing different types of silk to get the perfect appliqué look. It was definitely a challenge since silk is so delicate. My goal was for the skirt to have a layered look, with each layer building on the opaqueness to create contrast. After sketching the orchid design, I then took it into Illustrator and made over 100 revisions to get every detail just right haha 🙃 The process is super tedious, carefully aligning each orchid georgette piece with precision, then cutting out the petal shapes to create a sheer, see through effect. The base of the skirt is 100% silk organza, the appliqué is georgette, and the underlayer is chiffon. Finished with raw edges, the skirt will effortlessly roughen and mold to your body as you wear it. One of a kind, very limited quantities made in NYC, available in ivory and black. 𓇗 𓇗 𓇗 Exclusively on www.thuylam.co
