“Slow down Gurney!”
It was the end of the day golden hour shot depicting the race finish. We went out and lined up between turn 8/9 and started our first rehearsal. The sun was going down and time was limited.
Stunt coordinator @rpnagle wanted me to drive off the exit of turn 9 to kick up dirt and then beat Alex Gurney (whom played his dad Dan) to the line for a photo finish. We tried it once, the sun was blinding and as the car danced back onto the track I had to leg it to catch Alex … our timing was a bit off when we crossed the line.
I remember laughing all the way back to reset. I came to a stop turned off the car looked over to Alex and yelled “slow down Gurney”. This one was special. Shot on the same location where the LeMans pit road scene was for @fordvferrari brought back some great memories. Working alongside some of my favorite industry people and great friends made this one a gem. Coordinated by FvF @rpnagle and directed by @papa2 along with the @apcamcars team ! .. it was a bit of a homecoming 🏁 @cadillac@f1 … thanks to all 🙏
