📚 ABOUT On The Block Seattle Outdoors: As an alliance of neighborhood creatives, our mission is to be a conduit to sustainable opportunity, creative equity, and abundance from the ground up. All donations, vendor fees, and sponsor proceeds go directly to paying local artists, stabilizing neighborhood arts spaces, and supporting future events. On The Block began as a collaboration among @vermillionseattle , @throwbacksnw , and @blueconestudios facilitated by Seattle Artist Coalition for Equitable Development.

Rio is a veteran in the game and we’re so stoked for his new location in Pioneer Square. The love he puts into both of his stores is very apparent and should serve as an example to all aspiring shop owners. Aesthetically pleasing and the energy is fun & inviting!
For the last 18 years @throwbacksnw has been serving Capitol Hill with fresh vintage sportswear and memorabilia. With the addition of the new location, comes a slightly new approach that differs from its predecessor. @throwbacksnwcollective is just that; a collective. With multiple vendors bringing you curated sections of vintage, Rio is opening the door for not only himself, but for others to share the gold and the glory.
We sat down with @rialto456 and @djelgrande to talk about the history of throwbacks, the ebbs and flows of the vintage game, local cultural preservation through home team pieces, and the saturation of the once coveted niche. Interviews coming soon.
